FAQs
-
A: Aspen sits at 8,000 feet (and the mountaintop reaches 11,000!). The air is thinner, so you may feel winded more quickly, alcohol hits harder, and dehydration happens faster. Drink lots of water, pace yourself, and pack sunscreen and a light jacket — most guests adjust within a day or two.
-
A: We’ve listed attire for each event under the “Events” section of our site, but here’s a little extra guidance:
Western Welcome Party (Thursday at Hickory House): Western Inspired — elevated casual looks with Western flare.
Rehearsal Dinner (Friday at Aspen Mountain Club): Aspen Cocktail — chic cocktail attire.
Wedding Day (Saturday at T-Lazy-7 Ranch): Black Tie Optional — ladies, floor-length or midi dresses; gentlemen, dark suits or tuxedos. The ceremony and reception are outdoors in the mountains, so block heels or wedges are recommended over stilettos, and a wrap or jacket will help once the sun sets.

A: Aspen is easily accessible by air into Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (just 10 minutes from town). Guests may also fly into Denver International Airport or Eagle County Regional Airport and enjoy a scenic drive through the mountains. We’ll share shuttle and car service options for your convenience.
-
A: Aspen offers a variety of luxury hotels, cozy lodges, and private rentals. Please see the “Travel & Stay” portion of our wedding website for recommended accommodation options.
-
A: The Western Welcome Party on Thursday is kid-friendly, and we’re so excited to have your little ones be part of the fun!
The rehearsal dinner and wedding day are reserved for adults only — thank you for understanding. If you need a resource for childcare, we are happy to recommend Natural Nanny Collective.
-
A: Not necessarily. Aspen is very walkable, and free local buses and shuttles make getting around easy. For destinations outside of town (like Snowmass or Highlands), taxis, rideshare, and hotel shuttles are available. Parking is limited downtown, so we recommend relying on shuttles or transit whenever possible.
-
A: We’ll be providing shuttles to and from the wedding venue at T-Lazy-7 Ranch. Guests will not be able to drive directly, so please plan to use the provided transportation. A detailed schedule will be shared closer to the wedding date.
-
A: Days are usually warm and sunny, with highs in the 70s, while evenings can dip into the 40s–50s. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for nighttime events. Please note that Friday’s Rehearsal Dinner is at the top of Aspen Mountain — where the weather is usually 10–15°F colder than in town.
-
A: We recommend booking as early as possible. Aspen is a popular destination in summer, and hotels and vacation rentals (Airbnb, VRBO, Snowmass) fill quickly. See our “Where to Stay” section for our hotel blocks and other recommendations.
-
A: Please let us know when you RSVP. We’ll do our best to accommodate and ensure you have delicious options at each event.
